Beginning Cabachon Making:
Instructor: Donovan Wagner
Description: Beginning cabbing

Beginning Faceting:
Instructor: Dave Richardson
Description: Beginning faceting
Course Length: Six class session for 3 hours each.
Schedule: Call Dave Richardson at (520) 245-2172
Cost: OPLC Membership is mandatory. Each class is $100.00.
Any tools/materials needed for the class: No tools are required. First stone is provided by OPLC (clear quartz). Beginning faceting booklet is provided by OPLC. Meetpoint faceting will be required for continuing students. DO NOT PURCHASE any stones for use in this class until you have completed the first class period.

Beginning Silversmithing:
Description: Fabrication of sterling silver pendant with a cabochon
Course Length: 4 weeks, 3 hour sessions; classes offered as needed
Frequency: classes offered as needed, sign-up sheet is in the clubhouse
Cost: $60 to OPLC plus cost of materials - $40 - $60 for silver, this will allow you to make more than one pendant, depending on the size of each.
Tools: The club has all the tools you will need. However, if you have your own, bring them.

Casting:
Description: Learn lost-wax casting.
Course Length: 4 weeks;

Classes are held in the months January, March, May, July, September, and November, starting on the first Wednesday of the month.
Times are 4pm - 7pm.
The off months will be open labs.

Cost: $80 to OPLC plus cost of materials - $40 - $60 for silver
Tools: The club has all the tools you will need. However, if you have your own, bring them.

Other Classes:
Classes in chain making, inlay, opal cutting, bead making and other topics are offered on a occasionally. Most of these classes are offered during the fall and winter months as interest is indicated and volunteer instructors are secured. Check the class sign-up sheets on the bulletin board in the club house for further information on pending classes or check with our class coordinator.
